Murphy/Sale or Plouffe/Reed would be nice hauls but I have a shot at third (the current team punted HR/RBI).


I received several dump trade proposals when I was in 9th, 5 points out of 5th. I think I'm too close to dump.

The last place team has Pujols 38, Lawrie x, Kinsler 32, Bautista 37, Fister x, Masterson x, Morrow 21, Milone 10 and hasn't made a deal yet. Is it worth trading some keepers for a package that would give me a shot at third?

I think he's asking whether to go for it or dump.

With your team, just on what I see, I'd go for it. I'd go after Masterson (you need a SP, he's coming on, but a 4 ERA and a 1.3 WHIP might not be too expensive) and add a stick. Looks like you have Hosmer, Bard, Lavarnway, and maybe Cobb that would be interesting to a rebuilding team.

What does the "x" mean after Fister, Masterson and Lawrie? Do they have a salary? Do you have a salary cap?

x means expiring contract (second year) and can't be kept. No salary cap.

Sounds about right. There may not be much left if I decide to dump, but in the past my teams have been second half performers and won others championships.
