I can pick up one of Leake, Happ and Nicasio in an NL only 5x5 league. which one has the most 2012 value

Nicasio just hit the DL today.
Interesting trio anyway.
I'm not as high on Happ as some here, or am I just more willing to be Happ-less.
But I guess I'd go Happ over Leake, especially if this is 10-S2 pricing so that Leake would be a tough keep even if he does ok and if Happ is an AL goner at end of year no matter what.
If Leake would be a cheaper keep if he panned out, I'd factor that in.finished 10th in this 37th yr in 11-team-only NL 5x5

Leake is at a buck. I don't view as a keeper at that price but if he starts being a little more consistent one of my fellow owners might. Happ certainly looks like a better K play but he sure gives up a lot of HRsOriginally posted by Judge Jude View PostComment

I am contending first in offense but my pitching has been terrible. I need an ace but will have to wait until dump trades are allowed in my league to get one. There is nothing on the free agent list other than Eovaldi, Fiers and wang and some relievers. Here I already have romo, Cishek, camp and hanrahan. If I DL Nicasio and pick up a replacement I probably don't get a shot at Eovaldi or Fiers as they will get FAAB'ed.Comment

Should you own both Cishek and Camp as an overall contender?
Cishek is very good but Bell seems to have a turnaround, and Camp is meh but a 50-50 shot at SV. I'd pick one and dump one depending on needs.

You are right about those pitchers. I have been treading water and picking up guys as spec closers or with good peripherals as there is little available. I qctaully drafted Leake at $6 and dropped a month ago. He was picked and dropped by another owner and FAAB'd by my potential trading partner for a buck. He has been ok his last 3 starts so maybe he is getting it together.Comment
