    50 is a lot. 35 yes.

It depends on how the team uses him. If I were the manager he would not get an open pass to run. Just as Madducks says, he is a big guy and an injury will really hurt the team. I also like him more for the 2 or 3 spot than lead off. Better RBI, but less running.

also, is Trout the next Vlad? how many years did Vlad go number 1 in fantasy? i would think he holds the record.
Most projection engines use a 3-year history base as a foundation, I don't want to speak for Ron, but it is my understanding he uses more than 3 years.

if you don't have MLB data, you use MLE's.

ARod and Pujols both had runs at #1, not sure how they compare to Vlad.

Is Trout finally hitting the wall? 6-for-27 (.222) in his last 7 days, 0 HRs, 1 RBI, but he did steal 3 bases. Everyone else on my mixed team is rolling but I'm hesitant to sit Trout in case he has another 2 HR, 3 steal game.

I'd say it's more likely that he simply has hit a slump, something that happens to every player sooner or later. I wouldn't sit him at all....

Down to .272 AVG last 31 days, and .256 xBA in that span.

But how shallow a league would it be if you could have a 'better' alternative?

I'm in a "shallow" 10 team mixed (no CI/MI, only start 3 OF and 2 UT), that's about as shallow as it gets. Last 30 days he's still been better than just about anyone, considering the steals.

              Trout .275-5-15-21r-8sb

Not that I'd ever consider sitting Trout (I don't own him in any league, sigh), but Markakis' injury yesterday may have made the call for you.

Brownie points, excuse me Angel runs.

In retrospect, I wrote better than I knew when I disparaged the (rest of the) Angels OF last spring. But who would have put them 2 games behind Oakland at this point?
