    Shallow League SPs

    Mixed league - Standard 5 cats + Quality Starts

    Because of the league size, lots of quality arms on the wire. Any of these guys stand out more than the rest?

    Edwin Jackson
    Mark Buehrle

    I'm first in wins and 3rd in K's but last in ERA and 2nd to last in Quality Starts so looking for someone to help mainly in those 2 categories.

    wow, that is a shallow league.

    Samardzija is having a great year. He's 11th in the league in xFIP and all of his numbers seem to line up pretty well. That said, we are coming into summer at Wrigley so maybe there's some danger there.
    In the best of times, our days are numbered, anyway. And it would be a crime against Nature for any generation to take the world crisis so solemnly that it put off enjoying those things for which we were presumably designed in the first place, and which the gravest statesmen and the hoarsest politicians hope to make available to all men in the end: I mean the opportunity to do good work, to fall in love, to enjoy friends, to sit under trees, to read, to hit a ball and bounce the baby.

      I just picked up Dickey in my AFA league - what's not to like?

      I think Buehrle will help you because he has good ratios. I prefer him to Dickey but I think either would be a good pickup.

        All quality options, depends on who you would drop instead. Samardzjia and EJax probably have the most upside but Buehrle and Dickey are probably the safest bets. Then again, Marcum is the most accomplished of all of them and Wandy can be excellent as well. Honestly I don't know what to tell you, I would give my right nut to get any of these guys in my "-only" leagues.
