Pagan for Anthony Bass

I took over for a last place team and am in my first year of rebuilding it. I am not competing and thus have been shopping Pagan (last year of his contract with no option to extend). I got an offer for a $3 Anthony Bass with three years remaining on his contract. I think its a no brainier to take this.

I'm not completely sold on Anthony Bass as he seems to have came from nowhere but his underlying skills support his numbers this year. The only risk is of getting a better deal but I haven't been getting very far with the other owners. I think I'm going to pull the trigger... thoughts?

I'd do it...obvioulsy, pitching at Petco can turn a mediocrity into a stud. But a lot of Bass' peripherals are actually better on the road. Small sample size and all that, but he's a better bet at the lottery.

Was watching the Mets TV broadcast of Bass's last start when he got boxed around. He looked very good and Keith Hernandez was going on and on about how impressed he was with Bass. It was really a bad luck outing.

especially in 14-team NL, where Brian Schneider and Chris Volstad can become auction-day bidding wars.
I'd hesitate a little in, say, 10-team NL, where lesser-known SPs can go dollar days, but in this format, I'd bite.
