$1 in a 10-team hybrid (some AL teams, some NL teams). But he's been on my bench most of the year, though I'll have to activate him next week with Kemp on the DL.

I think I could get at least one rbi in 93 at bats, and I'm 55 years old. Get up with the bases loaded and lean into a pitch, or something. Jeez.

In Morgan's defense, he has only had 20 PAs with Runners in Scoring Position all year (0-16, 2 BB, 2 HBP), and has only come up with a runner on 3rd 3 times all season. One of those was the near-SF mentioned in the post above.

            wow, that is amazing actually.
of course, 0 for 16 is terrible, but that does soothe me

You didn't draft him for RBIs, it's steals that you paid $13 for and he's getting them, so be happy with that.

The stat that I found funny was that Brett Myers has 11 saves and 11 strikeouts over 15 innings. Not bad, but not that great for a closer.
I'm unconsoled I'm lonely, I am so much better than I used to be.

Why is that funny? I dont get it.
After former Broncos quarterback Brian Griese sprained his ankle and said he was tripped on the stairs of his home by his golden retriever, Bella: “The dog stood up on his hind legs and gave him a push? You might want to get rid of that dog, or put him in the circus, one of the two.”

Closers normally have a much higher strike out rate. Last week he actually had more saves than strikeouts. More odd than funny.

Heath Bell - he of the 4 saves and 1 K in his last four appearances - scoffs at your observation!
"When I use a word," Humpty Dumpty said in rather a scornful tone, "it means just what I choose it to mean - neither more nor less."
"The question is," said Alice, "whether you can make words mean so many different things."
"The question is," said Humpty Dumpty, "which is to be master - that's all."

Now that's hysterical. OK, no it's not. But that makes Myers seem down right dominant.

not to threadjack a Morgan thread with Morgan news, but....

Morgan now has 135 PA without an RBI, the most ever (well, since they've looked back to 1918) to break Herb Adams' mark of 125 in 1950
Herb got 8 more PA with 2 RBI - and never appeared in the majors again...

                            HEY NOW!

The greatest HR to hit a milestone since... ok, Jeter with a rare HR as his 3,000th hit was slightly more impressive.

But Nyjer finally figured out how to end that record in style!
