How real is this guy?

He's a 25 year old control pitcher, but his control is outstanding. Currently under 1.0 BB/9, with K/BB of 6.39. Now 3-0, 1.40 ERA, 0.98 WHIP.

But no one is as good as they look when winning. What is the other side of his coin? He has been a fruitful speculation so far, but what is his long term value?

Mid to backend rotation guy long term.

5 starts now. 63% GB rate is nice. 31.2 innings, 35 hits, 21 Ks, 4 HRs, 4 walks. He has faced LAA (back when they were bad), TOR, @MIL, @CHW and vs OAK, so not the toughest competition, but he should be usable at home and against weaker teams. What exactly he does for you, I'm not sure... won't get many wins on that team and doesn't get a lot of Ks.

Maybe now this will convince the Twins that they don't have to devote a ton of resources to developing these guys. If they really want them, they will happen naturally.
