BADLY need a bat. not positive I'm "going for it," but got an offer that doesn't seem to push me all-in, either, this early.

reluctance of top 3 teams to deal has last-place team offering me:
lame duck Pence and 31-unit Cuddyer for my DLd Sandoval 23-S1 and two bums.

and I know from bums, owning a Gillaspie dead spot, McLouth, Burriss, Uribe, and GBlanco. guh.

so to give up 1 year of Sandoval at 23 units, I get two 25-unit-quality bats for 2012 for the price of one (plus Sandoval is hurt for now, too).

Yep, that is a good offer.

It should help you move up. Cuddyer may be a keeper next year at $31 if you hang in there until the end. In the event that you fall short you have two pieces to trade at the deadline for somethink good.
