      He's a lot older, and he really never was that great to begin with. At age 40, missing more than a full season, I'd be surprised if he pitches as well as Freddie has...

          He doesn't have to be great. Just consistently decent. Like giving us a quality start (at least 6 IP with fewer than 3 ER) three out of every four times he takes the ball. And I think it would be hard for him to pitch worse than Freddie has this year.

            He has a career QS% of 58. I don't think it will magically jump to 75 at age 40. My best guess is that he'll be an average innings eater type with an ERA around 4.50. That's still way better than Garcia.
