  • Peavy selling high

Want to sell high on Peavy. Is Alex Gordon enough? Is Peavy and prado too much for Hosmer or Gordon? What about Peavy and Lowrie for Andrus, or is that thinking too positively?

    thanks

The news about him skipping work between starts is going to make it tough to get that kind of return on Peavy right now

I'd take Gordon straight up and not push my luck. I think asking for Hosmer is pushing too hard.

I am not sure how deep your league is, and whether 40-50 empty steals from Bonifacio have any value, but I like J Zimm a LOT more than Peavy

I do not disagree with JC very often. We are miles apart on this one.

There is no such thing as 40-50 empty steals.

10-20 maybe. 40-50 is worth a lot in any league that uses steals.

Added the position flexibility of Bonifacio he is more than a throw in.

If Peavy is 2004,2005,2007, or 2008 Peavy you did not do well at all. Worse if it is more than 12 teams.

I'm not saying that 40-50 steals are worthless, but if Bonifacio goes .270-5hr-35rbi-75r-45sb, and your replacement options are JJ Hardy (.260-25hr-75rbi-60r-5sb) or Zach Cozart (.275-12hr-55rbi-65r-15sb) or something like that, how much value does Bonifacio really add? It's not nothing but it's not massive either. He qualifies at SS which makes things better, but in a 12-team mixed league there's a real price to pay for running a guy like that out there when he hurts you in the other 4 categories.
