  • Swisher/Choo or Cano/Ibanez

    10 team AL 5x5.

I was offered Choo for my Cano. I added Swisher for my Ibanez to even it out. S-Rod would become my 2B.

My offense is starting to click and I am climbing in the standings. Does this help me?

i dont like it, assuming there are no major keeper considerations at work.

      Choo 26 Swisher 16
      Cano 34 Ibanez 3

Swisher is ok but nothing spectacular in terms of a keeper.

Cano with his first homer tonight.

I don't believe in Ibanez at all...yeah, Cano is great, but you get one very good and one good OF in the deal. I'd do it, but I'll readily admit it's because I think Ibanez will provide very limited production. But if you believe he can match last years numbers, pass.

has he already accepted your addition of Swisher for Ibanez? If so, it is a lot closer, but I'd still hold off, even though I agree Ibanez is probably done as a servicable player. Still, I'd try hard to find another every day OF for less. I just hate giving up the hands down clear cut best player in a deal unless I'm being overpaid to do so.

I wouldn't do it. Swish and Ibanez aren't that far apart. Choo and Cano are worlds apart.

Be wary - Cano is easily the best player in the deal. I'd say it's better to work minor trades and FAAB for potential improvements to your OF.

No, I wanted opinions here, first. The next step up from Choo would be Konerko or A-Ram. I'll stand pat.
