Last two times Yankees opened 0-2, they won the World Series.

Of course, this is the first time since 1981 the Sox & Yanks have both opened 0-2

I realize it won't last, but the AL East standings are sweet tonight. I'm surpised call-in sports talk radio in NY and Boston hasn't had a meltdown yet.

I think the Rays will win the AL East if their five starters stay healthy all year. They're hitting isn't as bad as folks have made it out to be. Their bullpen may more of an issue, but to be able to run Shields, Price, Hellickson, Moore and Niemann out there is a huge advantage over any team in MLB, let alone the AL East. I do think the Yankees should have little trouble securing a Wild Card, but I don't love the idea of a one-game playoff series against the likes of Texas, Anaheim or Boston...maybe even Toronto.
