Who would you extend?

11 team NL, 4x4, 25 man rosters, $280 cap. Can keep up to 15.

My team is decimated after winning the league. My only 3 guys that I can consider 'quality' going into our auction are
Starlin Castro $2, Braun $17, and Upton $19. All are going into last year of their contracts. I can let them play out or sign them for an additional 3 years + the upcoming year for an additional $15 per player (Castro $17, Braun $32, Upton $34). Inflation is going to be horrendous in talking with other owners about their keepers. I've tried to trade but the offers have been laughable and almost insulting. The mindset of some of the owners is to keep players under $10 regardless of their abilities and value. Thanks in advance.

yep, three years on each of them and be happy, those three could be the offensive anchor for an 11 team NL for years to come

I am extending each 2 years. Seeing how few keepers you have, the extra cash will be needed.

I wouldnt call having those 3 'decimated'. You may lack quantity but thats quality.

The league only allows for a 3 year extension, so I have to do the extra 3.

I do agree that it is quality.

With 3 other teams pretty well loaded going into the auction, I can't see myself contending, although a good auction could change that. Depending on how the first part of the auction plays out, I have sights on several players that should have an impact at the end of 2012 or in 2013 - hopefully I can manage to snag a few for a buck (I doubt it, but I'm allowed to dream).

3 years on those particular 3 players is not so risky as some others. I'd do it for all 3 and be happy.
