For auctions still coming up (my AL only drafts AFTER the season has opened) how does the pen think this will play out.

Opening staff: CC, Kuroda, Hughes, Nova and Garcia.

On the DL: Pineda
In the wings: Pettite

Who gets moved (trade, sent to pen, sent to minors, released)?

CC is safe, the others have to perform.

Would like predictions on who gets moved, how and when.

I believe Nova has options, so he could be sent down, and I think the Yankees' management really wants Hughes to succeed, so they don't look stupid trading Kennedy and keeping Hughes. They are shopping Garcia (the bloggers say). My hunch is Nova and Garcia are on the bubble, unless Hughes drops a big stink to start the season. I also think that Pettite will be mediocre at best ...

They claim they want to get down to under the luxury tax threshold, which would put them in the same payroll ballpark as Red Sox, Phillies, Angels, etc. Not a comfort to Royals and Pirates fans, but much less egregious than it used to be.
