I have been offered Henderson Alvarez $1 s2 for my Doug Fister $10 s2. This is a AL 4x4.

I guess who do you believe in more the rookie or the guy who had a killer 2nd half?

Fister has 2.5 years of solid to very good numbers and plays on a team which is going to win 90 + games. I like me some safe dollars spent...

That is the way I have been leaning. I have a solid team going into the draft and sometimes you need a few singles rather than a HR.

Interestingly, this team traded me Fister last year (before he blew up) for Jo Jo Reyes $1 s2. It was a weird trade when he made the offer.

I do not trust the defense behind the groundball inducing Fister, I'd go with the cheaper Alvarez and hope the HR rate stays low.

I'd lean towards doing the trade and I really like him for $1. Alvarez is at least a top rookie pitcher and I'm another one not sold on the Tigers defense.
