Given that all teams, more or less, spent their 260 and that you have to add $1 to the price of each player you choose, wouldn't teams go over budget in the redraft?

You choose players picked, but at a salary $1 more than the winning bid. Since you can choose from any team, you can easily make up a team $260 or less.

The idea is you would up the bid by $1 and get the player. Of course, in several instances, the other guy may have gone up another buck, but on the other hand, who is to say you would not have chimed in with the winning bid.

There are no "rules", just the "usual" way is adding a buck.

We may even add a twist and hold two competitions - best and worst team.

Maybe try an extreme stars and scrubs approach and try for both ends at the same time

I guess that in this competition you just choose a team rather than having a league wide draft. My point was that if this was a draft with the whole league than "the league as a whole" had to go over 260 per team.
