Keepers question

5x5 H2H league. Rosters are:
(2x) 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, C; 4x OF; 2x UT; 5x SP; 4x RP; 1x P

1B, 2B, 3B, SS, C, 3x OF, UT, 4SP, 3RP.

There is a salary structure but it is unimportant for my purposes and is going to be completely revamped next season so there's really no purpose in keeping anyone based on salary this year. Best 10:

Papelbon seems like the easiest call among my maybe's but my keeper list is so strong on SP that I'm thinking I need the offense and I might just punt S. Since it's H2H it's only 1 pt a week and I figure if I can win the other 4 pitching cats, runs, avg and SB and be solid every week. Bad idea to punt? or is it a safer plan in H2H? Who would you keep?

Not a fan of punting, esp in H2H. The random-ness leads to unpredictable outcomes, so you can't count on winning categories you're stronger in, but you're guaranteeing a L every matchup.

How many teams? It matters for Rollins and Mauer.

Definitely keeping Hosmer. I think I'd keep Papelbon too. Jones is reliable so I'd add him to make 8. Then it's 2 of Mauer/Rollins/Crawford.

I dont want to be too bogged down with OF and I dont like to dump saves unless I absolutely have to.

Is there a length of time you can keep each player? If it is a year or two then I wouldn't keep Trout, but if you potentially have him for several years, I'd keep him. I'd also keep Hosmer, Paps and Mauer and then likely 1 of Crawford/Rollins (or Jones if you don't keep Trout)
