this kid has crushed the ball at every stop in the minors: 77 HRs, .285 BA in 3 ML seasons.

With Salty finally playing at a decent enough level in '11, does Lavarnway see any significant playing time in Boston?

God, I can't stomach looking at your avatar. But congrats anyway.

As far as Lavarnway is concerned, I think he starts down in AAA-Pawtucket since the team signed Kelly Shoppach to back up Salty. Lavarnway has good power though he strikes out about 30% of the time. He's decent at drawing walks though so any uptick in contact and he's going to be a real nice player at catcher.

Defensively, he's got some issues but if he can improve then he will push for some nice PT with Boston.
