Here's a short news report from the Houston Chronicle:

So do you get tickets to away games? I think you need to travel to philly next season!

to everyone else... play in the next vintage draft and someday you too could get a job in a baseball front office.

edit: Oh, crap, they are in the AL now... I guess I could make the trip up to NYC or down to Baltimore.

Damn you beat me to it. That was an awesome post.
Bob- I'm not exactly sure it would ROCK as you say it Byron.. it may be cool, by typical text book descriptions. Your opinion of this is shallow and poorly constructed, but allow me to re-craft your initial thought into something tangable.

Hmmm... did I ever beat KS in a league? If so then I guess I should be the Astros' GM, right?

                        Congrats Mike!

                          This is absolutely beyond awesome!

I think every one of us who have ever "lived" here in our world at Rotojunkie has dreamed of this....myself whole-heartedly included.

And many of us (like myself) have been greatly impressed with the level of expertise that has been cultivated from this site.

But, none of us (until now) could ever say that we were TRULY LIVING the dream job of doing what we love and MAKING A LIVING at it in the REAL sports world.

Mike, you have my utmost congrats and jealousy, my friend. I'm sure you will make us proud!

                          Hey, just my admiration,

                          Gris

wow, that's awesome. But really, anyone who has read (or rather, attempted to read) his work knows that he combines a brilliance about pitching that frankly, an idiot like me never even knew existed. That's great news, Mike.

Congratulations KS. Can you give us a little information about how this came about, i.e. did you pursue the position, or did they see your work and come after you? If they came to you, how coy were you in negotiations, or were you like Kramer when he spilled the coffee on himself?
Some people say winning isn't everything. I say those people never won anything.

Quitters never win, winners never quit, but those who never win AND never quit are idiots.

The last thing I want to do is hurt you...but it's still on the list.

And boy, do you have your work cut out for you. Anyone with a modicum of talent will rise quickly in that organization, because there isn't much there now.
