              Regardless of the motivation, I like this move by Bright Billy. Seriously. Crisp is a superior defender and a valuable trading chip should (really, when) the A's fall out of contention and someone needs a plus-value CF.

              Or it could be like Erik says, just a way to mollify the players' union.

              BTW, the rumor in Cincy was that the Reds were going to sign Crisp and move Stubbs to LF. I didn't buy that one, as the last thing Dusty seems to want is a leadoff man who gets on base and runs.
