I guess you don't read the Offseason Transactions thread.

Even terribly minor Rays transactions are too important, Erik!

I also thought Lueke's backstory would spin off a larger discussion. Frankly, I'm not comfortable with this acquisition in the slightest.

After the Molina signing, it made sense, and they need to rebuild the pen. I didn't think it was a terrible deal.

How does the Rays catching time split out now? Does Chirinos get the most playing time behind the dish in 2012?

              John Jaso, jingle-heimer-schmidt.

              Chirinos in '12!
Find that level above your head and help you reach it.

I'm guessing you're not familiar with Lueke's history?

They typically play strict matchups but it got to the point where Shoppach was catching all of Shields' games so I'm guessing Molina takes over that role as well as a lot of Hellickson's starts since Hellickson really struggled getting strike 3 calls last season as Jaso caught most of his games and was just awful back there.

I'd say 80 to Molina, 50 to Lobaton (switch hitter who has shown an ability to hit LHP in the minors) and 30 to the mix of Chirinos and potentially Nevin Ashley by September.

Of course I am. But it's not like it was hidden like it was with the Texas-Seattle trade. TB knows all about it and apparently they're comfortable that he's paid his debt to society.

Just change that sports logo on the right in your bio to a blue star and it'll fit just fine.
I'm just here for the baseball.
