I've agreed with every sentiment expressed in this thread except for this one. You are most certainly downgrading from Lilly to Braden, imo, but I agree that the addition of Huff makes it a palatable trade.

I'd have no problem if you chose to make the deal, then not keep Reyes or Hamels or Soria, assuming you want to have some more cash at auction.

I did do the Lilly for Huff and Braden deal. Huff is now a definite keeper. Braden is in competition with the likes of Reyes, Raburn, Joyce, Saltalamacchia for the last keeper slot. I don't think Braden is Lilly's equal, but a $3 Huff versus a $6 Lilly is close enough in terms of "value" that I viewed the $1 Braden as gravy. That said, with Lilly out, I'm even more set on keeping Hamels at $25.
