Agreed -- had he been up in June, when he broke his hand, this might be a runaway....

Jennings hasn't been bad in his 207 or so ABs. With a full season of plate appearances, what does he steal next year?

I want to take my vote back. I was taken by Nova with that 15-4 record, but I was looking at a different lines for inside numbers. I would probably go with Walden or Hosmer. Hosmer is getting better every week and showing more power as he goes.

Nova has been fine, but getting 6.6 Runs/Game is a pretty big reason why he's 15-4.

So why the love for Trumbo over Hosmer? Just the dingers? Hosmer has about a 30 point lead in OBP.

Rookie of the Year isn't normally determined by importance to their team, but in this case, I think Trumbo has been integral to the Angels success in staying in the hunt. No way would they be just 4.5 games back without him.

Full season of more meaningful AB's. Kept his team in the playoff hunt. Had less lineup protection as well.

For me--- Trumbo, Hosmer, Hellickson Walden. 1,2,3,4. Without much separation. Pineda would have been right up there about a month ago.

Hellboy and I don't think it's that close. An ERA under 3 in the AL East?

5 for 5 for Hosmer tonight getting the BA to .300. Likely not enough but a very nice year for sure.
