  • Lorenzo Cain???

Can anyone tell me why he didn't even warrant a September call up for the Royals?

He hit .312 with 16 HR and 15 SB in AAA and was expected to be a fixture in CF by the All-Star break. I get that Melky surprisingly held him off this year, but I don't understand the lack of at least a September call up?

Cubs did the same thing with Brett Jackson.
After former Broncos quarterback Brian Griese sprained his ankle and said he was tripped on the stairs of his home by his golden retriever, Bella: “The dog stood up on his hind legs and gave him a push? You might want to get rid of that dog, or put him in the circus, one of the two.”

No clue either...he's had a really good second half and deserves it.

Saves the club a few thousand by not calling him up. Wouldn't surprise me if that was the deciding factor or either KC or the Cubbies.

Guess someone in K.C. visits here.

News: Kansas City recalled OF Lorenzo Cain on Tuesday night from Triple-A Omaha, which lost the Triple-A championship game.
Analysis: Cain was excellent at Triple-A this season with a .312 average, 16 HRs and 81 RBI, not to mention 16 steals, over 549 plate appearances. Cain deserves to play for an outfield job heading into next year, though it will be tough to compete with Jeff Francoeur, Melky Cabrera and Alex Gordon in town. He has low-end Fantasy value for the rest of this season.
ETA: Actually it looks like they were just waiting for the AAA playoffs to end.

Nice timing. I need him in my lineup for 1 AB to be able to keep him for $7 next year. Not a must-keep, but come on!

            Ottawa Triple Eh's | P.I.M.P.S. | 14 team keep forever
            Champions 16,21 | Runner up 17,19-20

The FOS (retired) | MTARBL | 12 team AL 5x5
            Champions 01,05,17 | Runner up 13-15,20

At last. If he gets an PA I can pick him up.

I'm pretty sure that he's slid to 3rd in their rotation behind Dyson and Cabrera. The Royals love the speed and defense that Dyson brings to the table, and seem to be grooming him as the CFer once Melky moves on....IF Melky moves on.

                  Melky likes KC.
