Well, this doesn't bode well for the Trumbo to 3B experiment....

Slugger Mark Trumbo's transition to third base hit a brief snag when he took a groundball off the nose and had to cut short his workout Friday morning.

The guy sat out for more than a year and a half, hitting a baseball is a very fine art where tiny errors in a swing can lead to failure. I have no doubt that when he gets comfortable and confident, it'll all come together for him.

I think that this puts to bed any more ideas about Trumbo EVER playing 3rd base...

Angels manager Mike Scioscia said Albert Pujols will shift over to third base and Kendrys Morales will play first base next weekend in Colorado.
It will be Morales' first game in the field this season. "Kendrys has been working out at first, and we feel much more comfortable with how he's moving, how he feels," Scioscia said. "His mobility is much better." Pujols made an appearance at third earlier this season and played there seven times last year in St. Louis. "It's not something I'll do all year, but I feel pretty comfortable doing it," Pujols said. "Whatever we can do to keep Morales in the lineup would be huge. It's about what I can do every day to help the club win."
