  • AL Bounce-back SP's 2K12

Looking in advance in my AL-only league, I believe we will have a high number of SP's saved for next year. The only top-tier guy with an expiring contract is Felix.

Here's my question---which of these guys is most likely to have a 'bounce-back' campaign in 2012 (say > $15 value)

    AJ Burnett
    Matsuzaka
    Porcello
    Liriano
    Lackey
    Peavy
Badges? We don't need no stinkin' badges!

Peavy still has the best looking K:BB and WHIP of the bunch, but I'd probably be tempted to take a shot with Liriano first because I think he's got a higher upside risk at this point.

Favorite, IMO, is peavy followed by liriano. Porcello would be entering his 3rd or 4th year so maturation is a definite possibility.

Peavy and Liriano are pretty even to me - I don't think the WS home park does many favors for Peavy.

I don't think any of the other 4 sniff $15.
I'm just here for the baseball.

I think we're reaching a quick consensus on this thread ... though I probably wouldn't go to $15 on any of 'em.
It certainly feels that way. But I'm distrustful of that feeling and am curious about evidence.

I don't think Grinch is suggesting that he wants to bid $15 on these guys but hopes to get them cheap and get the profit out of it. Personally, I don't think I'd touch Burnett, Dice-K or Lackey at any price. Isn't Dice-K going to miss part the season, didn't he have Tommy John surgery this year?
I'm unconsoled I'm lonely, I am so much better than I used to be.

I bet you Burnett's price will be LOWER in leagues with Yankee fans than in leagues without them.
