  • Weeks or Revere?

Who is the better keeper in an AL only 12 team league with obp?

Who do you think is going to produce the best in runs/opb/sb the next few years and do you think both are locks to start next year?

Weeks is $10 and Revere is $5 for the next 2 years

I think they'll both be starters, and I think their value is close enough that I'll take the $5 over the position flexibility. Weeks is faster than I thought (8 triples!) and is a better hitter, but I still think Revere runs more and theoretically plays for a better lineup.

I like Weeks a little more going forward. His minor league numbers indicate that his BB:K ratio will improve notably, which will result in a higher OBP and more SB opportunities. Plus, I think he's established himself as Oakland's leadoff hitter for the future.

Not that Revere would be bad, and JC makes a good point about the $5 advantage. But since MYoung and ACabrera may not/won't qualify at 2B next year, 2B's beginning to look awfully thin in the AL.
I'm just here for the baseball.

At the same price I would definitely go Weeks, but with the $5 difference it's very close. I'm still skeptical that Revere will hit enough to be a quality regular right now, but he will steal tons of bases while he's in there. I'd give Weeks the slightest of edges just because I think his playing time is more solidified.
