Whatcha gonna do for pitching?

If they trade Vlad during the season, they HAVE to get pitchers. Other than Matusz, the ones they have are unimpressive at best.

I think Guthrie is decent. All the pitchers did well the last two months, not saying it will continue but maybe (prayerfully) it will continue and there is something to Buck managing that inspires them and the added confidence of a better O should help them some.

Dont forget the Orioles are looking ahead to next years free agency under Buck and are looking to become a viable place for a potential FA starting pitcher. Assuming the Orioles are able to compete past the ALL Star break this year and finish closer to .500 they will make themselves a nice draw in Sarasota and in Camden with some of the moves MacPhail has made and with the rebuilding that has gone on in the past 3 years are pretty darn close to becoming a viable contender in the AL East. They will never exceed more than a 120m but with already a nice mix of youth on the team they could be one pitcher away from getting into the mix this year especially with a manager like Buck at the helm who isn't going to completely crap out like some of the yes men who have held the position during the past decade.
