  • Randall Delgado 2012

What are the chances that Delgado makes the rotation for the Braves next year? He's had one nice start in AAA, but the Braves have Lowe and Hudson already under contract for next year along with Hanson, Jurrjens, and Beachy under team control, and then are Minor and Teheran ahead of him? Is Vizcaino?

In the best of times, our days are numbered, anyway. And it would be a crime against Nature for any generation to take the world crisis so solemnly that it put off enjoying those things for which we were presumably designed in the first place, and which the gravest statesmen and the hoarsest politicians hope to make available to all men in the end: I mean the opportunity to do good work, to fall in love, to enjoy friends, to sit under trees, to read, to hit a ball and bounce the baby.

When you spell it out like that, it sure doesn't look good for Randall. He's a solid pitcher, and perhaps the Braves address their log jam with a trade or two next year, but barring trade or injury, Delgado's chances of making the roation in 2012 seem slim to none.

At this point, I think that sounds like the pecking order. I bet you see the Braves try to move someone like Lowe in the off season to dump some salary and try to fill a hole somewhere else.

I would not be surprised to see the Braves move out two SPs. If neither is Delgado, he's got a shot.

I agree with what the others have said here. I expect next year's rotation to look something like: Jurrjens, Hanson, Hudson, Beachy, Minor

If another pitcher is moved then I'd put my money on Teheran and Delgado battling it out in Spring Training for the 5th slot with my money on Teheran.

I wish the Yankees had these same problems.

I wish the Braves had the Yankees' championships.
