  • Who to start?

I'm in a tight race in all the standard 5 pitching categories.

Should I start Chad Billingsley this week for one start versus Vance Worley and the Phillies or Charlie Morton for two starts at R. Vogelsong and the Giants and at S. Marcum and the Brewers?
Some people say winning isn't everything. I say those people never won anything.

Quitters never win, winners never quit, but those who never win AND never quit are idiots.

The last thing I want to do is hurt you...but it's still on the list.

Some people are like Slinkies, they are not really good for anything but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

Ouch. I don't trust Morton at all against the Brewers but Bills and the Phillies might be worse. In this situation I usually go with the 2-start guy and hope his first start balances out the 2nd.

Thanks JC. That's the way I was leaning. We'll see how it goes.

So far so good. Could have used a few more K's but can't complain about 8 shut out innings and a W.

Now if only I'd reserved Daniel Hudson. How do you give up 11 hits in 3 innings in ARI to the Quad A Houston Astros?

ETA: Whew, Morton would have to do really bad against MIL for this to not have worked out. No jinx, no jink!
