and a lot more scoring opps for Bourn in Atlanta. After former Broncos quarterback Brian Griese sprained his ankle and said he was tripped on the stairs of his home by his golden retriever, Bella: “The dog stood up on his hind legs and gave him a push? You might want to get rid of that dog, or put him in the circus, one of the two.”

Ed wade strikes again"The Times found no pattern of sexual misconduct by Mr. Biden, beyond the hugs, kisses and touching that women previously said made them uncomfortable." -NY Times
"For a woman to come forward in the glaring lights of focus, nationally, you’ve got to start off with the presumption that at least the essence of what she’s talking about is real, whether or not she forgets facts" - Joe Biden

Hmmm...I find it tough to defend Ed Wade, but I don't think this deal is that bad. If I read Bourn's status right, he's in his last year of arb eligibility, so the 'Stros could have kept him for another year...when they'd probably still suck.
Abreu gives them what looks like a strong bullpen piece, Clemens and Oberholtzer have decent enough upside and I suspect one of them will turn into a respectable 3/4 SP, and Jordan Schafer...well, never mind.I'm just here for the baseball.

They gave him up for depth. They could have done what the Rays did and move him in the off-season as Bourn > Upton. Instead, they gave him up now and got a very unimpressive package for him. Abreu is putting up nice AAA numbers, but he's much like his non-related brother, Winston Abreu. Winston dominated AAA and still can't sniff a major league job because he's AAAA material.
