2K11 Phillip Humber

So what does the pen think about Humber? He seems to be starting to come back down to earth. I have him at a cheap price ($7 for next year only) in my AL only league but I'm thinking about selling high on him and getting a better safer keeper.

June was his best ERA month at 2.80 and in three starts in July his ERA is 5.51. The first start was good, 7 shutout innings so that makes the last two starts even worse (10 ER in 9 1/3 innings). It was against Minnesota and Detriot, not exactly power houses but not dud offenses like Seattle.

Thoughts? Can he rebound or is league catching up to him?

I have to think we saw his best days this year. I would sell him off if I could.

I sold high on him last week. I may kick myself, but I see him having a significant drop-off the second time through the league.

His xFIP is 3.91, he has a low K rate and his GB% is good but not great. His BABIP is .250 and his HR/FB is only 6% in The Cell. To me that doesn't smell like a good 2nd half.

He's got a good 4-pitch mix, barely over 90 on the fastball but all positive run values for now. The curve and change are the highest value. I don't know for sure but that might not be an arsenal that stands up to repeated trips around the league.
