aren't dump trades supposed to make the team giving up keepers better? Just received this trade offer:
I give
Danny Espinosa ($5/2 years left on his contract)
James McDonald ($1/1)
Yadier Molina ($11/2)
Mike Fontenot ($10/2)
Will Venable ($11/1)
I get
Cory Hart ($25/2)
Travis Wood ($5/1)
Jonny Gomes ($9/2)
Carlos Gomez ($16/2)
Omar Infante ($1/1)
The way I see it
Espinosa > Hart (it's an OBP league so Espinosa's low BA isn't as much of an issue)
McDonald > Wood (barely)
Molina > Infante
Venable = Gomez (neither start anymore, both would rack up the steals if given PT)
Fontenot < Gomes (although both are fairly worthless at this point)
And that doesn't even take into account the fact that Espinosa is an excellent keeper and McDonald has some keeper value as well.
Just so this isn't one big bitch session, what would be a fair offer for Hart? Jordan Lyles ($5/2) and Kyle Blanks ($1/2+)?
