I would go all in with Freeman, Joc and Burnes.

If that's too expensive Mahle would be my next up over Treinen.

This may be just me, but I feel like the industry isn't taking Max Muncy's injury seriously. He tore his UCL and just started swinging a bat less than a month ago. He's yet to have an extra base hit in spring training. I would be very wary of keeping him as my most expensive keeper at $22.

It a good point. Our draft will be late this year starting April 24 so have time to reconsider.

Freeman, Burnes, and one of the following [Treinen, Floro, or Mahle] depending on who will be available in the draft.

I would add Treinen $15, and would love to add Burnes $42, as he's a top 3 SP, but that would take you to $99 in pitching for 5 guys. I prefer Mahle $13 taking you to $70 for 5 spots, $29 savings.

Third guy for me is either Floro $6 or Nick Gonzalez $10. Not sure how Gonzalez ranks exactly, or how deep your farm goes. If it's shallow enough you think you could get him back at the same price, I'd go Floro for the final keeper, but target Bender as a handcuff if possible.
Larry David was once being heckled, long before any success. Heckler says "I'm taking my dog over to fuck your mother, weekly." Larry responds "I hate to tell you this, but your dog isn't liking it."

Would you prefer Bedard over Floro? I probably would get Gonzalez back maybe cheaper. I swear I tried to trade him off and strangely no takers.

FWIW, Floro is questionable for opening day with arm soreness.

                          I think I would keep:

                          C Will Smith $12
                          1B Pete Alonso $8

                          SS Dansby Swanson $18
                          OF Joc Pederson $6

                          P Walker Buehler $12
                          P Pablo Lopez $13
                          P Max Fried $17
                          P Tyler Mahle $13

Then I would play it by ear deciding on Muncy (if healthy) or whichever closer seems most secure in the role to start the season.

Burnes is a legitimate Cy Young candidate. At $42 that's not a bad price.

Why is he not a slam dunk keeper?

Burns is excellent , but I tend to shy away from keeping very expensive pitchers going into a draft. In my proposed list, he already has four solid SPs for a combined keeper cost of $55. Couldn’t that $42 be better spent elsewhere?

ETA: Suppose he does keep Burns as his 10th player. Now he has spent $97 on pitching, needs to find saves, and has four slots to fill. Assuming he hits on two cheap closer candidates for ~$10 combined and spends $2 on the last two pitching slots, he has spent $109 on pitching and has $66 to buy 4 OF, 3B, 2B, MI, UT and a catcher. Filling out key components of hitting isn’t easy with only $66.
