Obviously great for Cron's fantasy value to stay in Coors. His home OPS was over 300 points higher than on the road. There's not a ton of competition for playing time either, especially if the universal DH comes into play.
Cubs claim Wade Miley off waivers from Cincy, who just let a 5.7 WAR pitcher go for nuttin'.
Other minor claims today:
- Hunter Harvey by SF
- Ryan Sherriff by PHI
- Jharel Cotton by MIN
- Greg Allen by PIT
- Tim LoCastro by BOS
- Andrew Velazquez by LAA

I picked up Miley for 12 bucks of FAAB...Just because he helped me win a title I shouldn't keep him...just because I am a Cubs homer I shouldn't keep him...

Phew....tough choice. He's really become a different pitcher since he learned the cutter in Milwaukee, other than a really bad COVID year. OTOH, his FB velocity has dropped below 90, and his cutter has lost 2 MPH in 3 years. And even if he holds at about the same level, he's a low to mid 1.3 WHIP guy who'll probably pitch a lot of innings. On the plus side, he's fearless with runners on base, will be allowed to pitch a lot of innings, and will probably deliver average to above average ERA.
