I can forgive a guy from one season to the next but one month to the next...ugh
definitely can relate - if I've dropped a guy in June I wouldn't even consider him in Aug or Sept ... and I'm sure I've missed out on a few because of it. But then part of me says that if I picked him up again and he sank my finish I couldn't forgive myself ... so I guess I'm ok with it.
It certainly feels that way. But I'm distrustful of that feeling and am curious about evidence.

I find the best way to stay objective is to follow MLB box scores instead of my fantasy teams. It gives you added perspective and helps immensely in finding replacement options. I find that when I only follow my teams without checking the bigger picture, I'm less likely to make a timely move.

My biggest lesson this year is the importance of strong bench options to negate injuries. My 4th place finish has me with about 500 AB less than any of the top 3. So trading Joe Wendle for a prospect (J. Rutledge) and a minor pick swap before the season was a huge mistake. Like baseball, roto is all about making the necessary adjustments.
Larry David was once being heckled, long before any success. Heckler says "I'm taking my dog over to fuck your mother, weekly." Larry responds "I hate to tell you this, but your dog isn't liking it."

Yup. Me too. If I get a player as a low draft pick/low to moderate auction price, I have a lot less of an issue punting on them. But if I snagged them as a prospect, or worse yet, made what I thought was a great trade to get said prospect....yeah....dumping them even when deserving is almost not happening for me.
I'm just here for the baseball.
