What do you think of this as a core?
Would you dump any for Alex Cobb IL, Ranger Suarez, or Kris Bubic?

I'd keep Bum and Sandoval. I like Elieser but he's shown to be fragile this year.

I like them better than the FA options.

Sandoval, for sure. In a league with only 4 SPs, I'd look elsewhere for my fourth. Bumgarner just doesn't do it for me - lowish K rate in today's game and marginal ERA on a bad team.

It's 4 SP, 3 RP, 3 P so usually five or six SP.

Bumgarner's FB is barely touching 90. I picked him up on name and one really good game.

I have to release Morton, Ryu, and Carrasco. There is a good chance I can get one back, or a comparable SP.

No one likes Lynch going into next season? I've seen him ranked with Skubal and Plesac and a tier above Bumgarner.

I like Lynch, and he's certainly done better in his second pass. I think his last three outings against pretty tough competition were decent - 4ish ERA, K rate up in a couple of the games. But he still has control issues, and I think he'll hurt your WHIP while not providing a lot of benefits in Ks and Ws.

This is enough to keep Lynch and Hernandez for now. Hard decisions are still six months away.

I may drop Bumgarner and pick up someone on IL, eg Kiriloff, on spec.
