  • NL prospects? Where is rhd?

I don’t think rhd is posting his prospect list unfortunately (rhd, if you’re reading this, those lists were gold!).

I have two minors picks in our NL 5x5 league. All the top guys are gone. I’m looking for the next gen — likely to move up sharply in prospect rankings next year — or lower-ceiling guys who might make an impact this year. Right now I have Brennen Davis and Kody Hoese. Thanks for any suggestions!

    Michael Harris, Atlanta.

Previous pitcher/hitter that has decided to focus on hitting. Acuna vibes around him.

Yeah, the rotowire guys like Harris a lot. They say he has passed Waters in Atlanta's long term plans right now. Tahnaj Thomas and Aaron Ashby are two NL pitchers I like that may be available.

On the Giants, Luis Matos is probably a stronger play.

How deep do your minors go? Are all or mostly all of the top 100 gone? Lots of good choices from last year's entry draft if they are available. Guys like Veen, Gonzales, Hassell, etc.

48 minor league slots. NL only (and can’t draft amateurs or AL). Almost all are hitters except for a few top SP; hitters because they hold much more value. So most of the top 100 are gone (and then some). Hassell and Veen not gone but the rest are (probably because draftees from that midsummer draft class are not eligible until following year). I have pick 11, so Veen and Hassell will likely be gone.

If you only go 48 deep, disregard my previous suggestions. There are better options. I'd be Michael Busch is available, for instance. He can hit. If he can stick at 2b (a long shot), he could be a real asset.

48 deep but NL only and basically only hitters. So cut the top 100 in half (NL only) and remove pitchers (even fewer remain). Busch is gone.

Who are the top ranked pitchers that are still available? I agree that hitters are preferable, but if some of the top pitchers are around they deserve consideration.

Is a level like Josiah Gray available?

Yeah, if everyone else is going hitters, than your best best is to grab the best pitchers available. It sounds like guys like Gray and Quinn Priester are out there. Or if a hitter is who you must have, Harris is a reach by ranking, but he has the upside to end up really good.
