For those who want to play along, we had the 2nd overall pick (15 teams), and through 5 rounds we have:

    1 - Yelich
    2 - Flaherty
    3 - G. Torres
    4 - Kershaw
    5 - Robles

Interesting, why Yelich? Seems to me he still brings quite a bit of uncertainty to the table. With #2 overall, why not Trout or Acuna, whichever was still available?

I would take Yelich if Trout was gone - not Acuna second.

FLaherty was likely the best pitcher available
and I like the Kershaw pick

        12 teamer?

also it looks like some older hitters have dropped way too low - https://nfc.shgn.com/adp/baseball

            No, 15 teams

What older hitters are you referring to

Acuna went 1st, and Yelich was an easy pick over Trout with his speed as a major differentiator. After the two years Yelich just had, I don't see how there's any uncertainty.

I would have taken Trout in a heartbeat...IF he plays 155 games, IMO, it's a walkover. But that's why they have drafts and auctions...differing opinions.

We have 6 co-owners and it was unanimous.

maybe it is Austin Meadows - and possibly Hiura - I see as reaches

And how have Goldschmidt, Bryant and even Pham fallen

So, six of you were wrong then? What are the odds?

A couple of us wanted Bryant but got outvoted.

He hasn't played 155 games since 2016. I would have voted for hacking the site, undoing the first pick, and taking Acuna, but that's just me.

I get Goldy falling---the steals are gone at this point, and his home park is not friendly. I don't see what separates him from Jose Abreu at this point. Pham I can also understand a bit. Bryant seems surprising to me.

Then again, neither has Yelich since 2017...so the injury comp is pretty much even for me. I do agree that I would have sniped the #1 pick by hook or by crook...Acuna is the best player in roto.
