    The way he finished the season, I projected him to be our Opening Day starter. I think he will slot in at #2 eventually.

            • Blue Jays signed RHP Shun Yamaguchi to a two-year, $6.35 million contract.

              Yamaguchi could earn an additional $1.4 million in innings pitched incentives. The 32-year-old posted a 2.91 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 188/60 K/BB ratio ratio across 170 innings for the Yomiuri Giants last season. He will compete for a spot in the Blue Jays' rotation.
