  • NL Minor Leaguers most likely to get traded to AL

I am in an AL only league but when the minor league draft starts we can draft ANYONE. My list of possible AL targets has thinned some so I am looking at poaching some NL talent. Two years ago the pen was able to target a few NL minor leaguers that where good bets to get traded to the AL. I was able to get Eloy Jimenez this way.

Who would be good guys to target that might be on the move to the AL?

    Any thoughts are appreciated.

Hmmmm, I guess look first at strong or evolving NL teams that may have an excess at a certain position.

Braves have several starting pitching prospects.

Mets have Rosario at SS but have Giminez in the wings.

      Josh Naylor, Padres 1B?
he's no Jimenez, for sure, but has power and almost ready - and the Padres are so stupid that Eric Hosmer has another $120M and 6 years left, so they are trying Wil Myers in CF.
finished 10th in this 37th yr in 11-team-only NL 5x5
      own picks 1, 2, 5, 6, 9 in April 2022 1st-rd farmhand draft
      won in 2017 15 07 05 04 02 93 90 84

      SP SGray 16, TWalker 10, AWood 10, Price 3, KH Kim 2, Corbin 10
      RP Bednar 10, Bender 10, Graterol 2
      C Stallings 2, Casali 1
      1B Votto 10, 3B ERios 2, 1B Zimmerman 2, 2S Chisholm 5, 2B Hoerner 5, 2B Solano 2, 2B LGarcia 10, SS Gregorius 17

Good call. Naylor isn't the best name that could be moved, but he is the most obvious. No room for him in SD, and he is best suited to DH.

Philip Ervin? He is talented but got blocked with the Puig/Kemp deal and now Cincy is loaded with OF.

While not a rookie, Aaron Altherr will be in AAA, is under 30, and seems to be a very good bet to be traded.

Maybe Andres Gimenez on the Mets. They now have Cano, and seem to like Rosario ok.

I would look hard at the Padres system. Probably some folks there.
