  • 2k19: Aaron Sanchez

Aaron Sanchez has, in two years, dropped from AL ERA champ to barely draftable in deep leagues (he just went 449th overall in the RJ Mock). What the heck has happened? He's had finger issues -- blisters, getting them stuck in luggage -- that has limited him to just 141 IP the last two seasons. But beyond that, his peripherals have fallen apart. His BB% has shot up to 5.0/9, which is just unacceptable. Meanwhile, his K% edged down to 7.0/9, making his K/BB ratio a very unShandler-like 1.41.

His velocity is still there (even if it's dropped 3.3 mph since 2015) so it's possible he rebounds, but obviously many backers have jumped ship. He's probably worth a dart throw in the last round or in dollar days, but it's been quite the fall for the 26-year old.

Never been a fan but when a guy gets this cheap it's usually a good idea to invest. In an AL-only league I'd probably be in for anything less than $10, in a 12-team mixed he'd probably be dollar days fodder.
