I think Abreu/Rivera and Hughes/Plouffe are pretty similar. I think the upside is with Rivera and Plouffe but so is the downside. You lose Abreu's speed but Rivera's in a better park for power. His walk rate is up and he seems OK at 1B for now. But what happens when Lind is back and Lawrie comes up? For that matter what happens when Nishioka comes back in MIN? Abreu has 8 steals and solid R/RBI numbers, I just wonder if he's worth more.

I have Nishioka, so maybe I should try to add him to the deal.

The other owner was bidding against me for Nishioka and tried to trade Ortiz to me earlier this season.

Possibly. If Jennings comes up soon he will help to compensate. I have Crawford, Pennington and Damon as 'significant' sources of speed.
