So, what's the Twinkies plan once Nishioka is off the DL? Nishioka at 2B and Plouffe at SS? Hughes back to the minors? Nishioka at SS and Cuddyer at 2B?

I'm assuming in any case Casilla goes to a utility role.

Well, SS is Plouffe's to lose. His offense has been decent , but his glove has been so-so. Nishioka will go to second and Casilla to the bench...he is horrible, but better than Tolbert. I think they'd like to get Hughes more AB's so he'll wind up in the minors.

i have epiphanies like that all the time. for example i was watching a basketball game today and realized pom poms are like a pair of tits. there's 2 of them. they're round. they shake. women play with them. thus instead of having two, cheerleaders have four boobs.

I can't see Plouffle sticking, he's horrible, as are almost all of the Twins MI prospects. Thia makes a bit more sense, and I hope that they stick with Nishy at SS if he shows the arm for it.

Twins manager Ron Gardenhire told MLB.com on Thursday that
he still plans on using 2B Tsuyoshi Nishioka at both second
base and shortstop when is able to come off the 15-day
disabled list. Nishioka, who suffered a fractured left
fibula on April 7, has progressed to full sprinting drills
and hasn't had any setbacks. "We're going to let Nishi get
well and get healthy and not make any decisions until he
gets back," Twins manager Ron Gardenhire said. "That's why
I've asked Nishi to take ground balls at both sides and play
games at both sides. So we'll see how it all works."
Nishioka is tentatively scheduled to appear in 10 rehab
games, including a few games with Triple-A Rochester.
