OK, but is he Peter Gabriel Genesis Cabrera, or is he Phil Collins Genesis Cabrera?

          (Sorry)

We're going to have an exodus from this thread soon.

Seriously, I wonder if the Cards are going to make more deals.
I'm just here for the baseball.

Rays really needed a RH OF bat, and this is a controllable one for three years if they wish. Given Pham wants to be paid, I don't know if he even finishes the day with the team as I could see him going with Archer in a megadeal if something opened up too. The future is Bauers, Adames, Honeywell and Pham is already 30. Then again, new stadium and new TV deal gets finalized, they'll need to start shelling out some cash from that.

Pham, Kiermaier and Meadows...a lot of potential in that OF now.

Does Mallex Smith get pushed aside? Or is Meadows heading back to the minors for now?

And just as I post this, he was optioned to AAA.

Mallex has been a mixed bag of tricks. He's displayed some terrible baseball IQ on the basepaths and in the field, but shows a more mature approach at the plate more often than not. Ideally, he's a reserve next year, but with both Meadows and Kiermaier slotted as starters, he'll have to wait for one of them to get hurt (and both have bad health track records) to become a starter. I see Meadows/Kiermaier/Pham in the OF next year
