  • My pitching staff = Spinal Tap drummers

A few weeks ago I was desperate to trade a pitcher because I had too many. Yesterday, I replaced three injured pitchers (Wacha, Morrow, and Lyles) only to have two more placed on the DL today (ERamos and Buchholz). Not to mention the fact that I already had to put Stras on the DL a couple weeks ago and Jimmy Nelson is taking his sweet time coming back from his shoulder surgery. That seems like a lot to overcome in an NL-only league - might be time to consider dumping.

No analysis here, just wanted to vent. Didn't we used to have a thread for that?

Oh, forgot to mention the real kicker - I had agreed to a trade for Caleb Smith when *shocker* he injured himself during his start yesterday. Luckily I was able to get that one annulled.

Spinal Tap drummers.....awesome analogy. I had a year like that.
I'm just here for the baseball.

I hear you overkill. This year in our NL league I have or had:

Justin Turner (broken wrist just days after our auction)
        Corey Seager (Tommy John)
        Madison Bumgarner (freak accident)
Yadier Molina (giving new definition to the term “baller”)
Ron Acuna (stepped on first base wrong and missed a month)
        Yoenis Cespedes (hamstring injury)
        Joey Lucchesi (something or other)

Kinda ridiculous. Love the spinal tap reference.
