    June Callups

    Who are the top prospects you expect to see called up after June 1?

    I could see Jennings and Ackley getting the call. I don't know whether to expect any others at that point. I know Lawrie is sometimes mentioned, but he may be blocked. Montero seems blocked again now that Posada has mended fences.

    Any thoughts?

    Jennings doesn't look like he'll be called up until July so that the Rays can avoid Super 2 status on him. Just a head's up if you were looking for current year production.

      Belt will be up shortly although his clock is already running. Montero is coming soon. Just not sure itll be June.
      After former Broncos quarterback Brian Griese sprained his ankle and said he was tripped on the stairs of his home by his golden retriever, Bella: “The dog stood up on his hind legs and gave him a push? You might want to get rid of that dog, or put him in the circus, one of the two.”

        who's blocking Lawrie? E5, who doesn't have a single HR yet? I think we'll see Lawrie in 2 weeks.

        Some others who should be up soon: Domonic Brown, Moustakas, maybe Lonnie Chisenhall.

          Brown is going to get a decent amount of time as Francisco hasnt done squat. MAyberry is playing well so maybe he steals time from Ibanez.

            Does everyone agree on Moustakas? I thought he might be blocked. Also recall a piece or two that said they were willing to wait on him till next year.

              with only Betemit in the way, why wouldnt KC give him a shot? Sure Betemit has been solid but just 1 HR from the hot corner spot doesnt get it done. Give the kid the experience. He has little to prove.

                Plus, while KC is doing well this year, gametime for them will be 2012 as their prospects mature. If these kids get the right amount of MLB experience, that team will be tough to beat next year.

                  Rumors of Andy Oliver and Charlie Furbush being called up. Oliver to replace Coke in rotation, Furbush to BP. Take it for what it's worth.

                          Carrera got called up today and slap bunted the gw run, apparently he's starting tomorrow too. With the Cabrera's in the middle now and Kipnis and Chiz waiting (Cord Phelps too) he's just a UTIL IF. Guy's got some wheels and a good eye though

                            Furbush called up today to work in relief.

                              You're correct - but if he keeps hitting the way he did in May, they'll have a hard time keeping him down after the break.
