I advertised my $6 Gleyber and got the following offer:

Get: Correa 40X Keuchel 25X CAllen 25
Give: Gleyber 6 MDuffy 2 Pineda 2
X = lame duck, others are for 2019 only.

I can make up ground in HR, SB, W, SV so I felt I had to get something done. None of the other pretenders have a comparable package.

We have a 260 cap and 310 ceiling so Correa's salary was a limiting factor. I'm in 5th, top 4 get paid. EE 26 and Choo 12 were other options.

I decided EE would give me a slight gain in HR.

Give: Gleyber 6 MDuffy 2 Pineda 2

It's about what I would expect for an uber-stud like Gleyber. But if Keuchel doesn't turn it around, he will be a negative and not a positive.

I agree with revo...at this point, Keuchel is nothing to WANT to acquire. If you're going to give a future All Star for the next decade, it had better be really well worth it, and neither one of those offers are.

Gleyber is $6 for 2019 only. 1 year keepers. Stroman 20 and Tanaka 28 are his other pitchers. Keuchel was the only option.

Then I wouldn't have made the deal...not enough gain, IMO.

Yes. I looked at the other pretenders and no one else had offense or a closer to trade. I feel like there is enough time left for me to make up ground.
