The Nationals have assigned left-hander Oliver Perez to Double-A Harrisburg.
Perez agreed to a minor league contract with the Nationals near the end of spring training after getting his release from the Mets. He's been working out for the past six weeks at extended spring training. We're not hopeful for anything, though it's worth noting that he'll now be sharing a clubhouse with Bryce Harper.
