    When I try to post a still image, it ALWAYS shows up as a thumbnail...what's the trick to getting it to show up full size in the thread?

    I'll hang up and listen...

    See the image test threat I put in the website issues forum. You place the .jpg .jpeg or .gif url between [img] and [/img]

      Make sure "Retrieve remote file and reference locally" is NOT checked.

        I think this is it. I do find it strange that those are set as defaults (or that they're even options)
        It certainly feels that way. But I'm distrustful of that feeling and am curious about evidence.

          If you are uploading your own photo (rather than via URL), I think you have no other option than the thumbnail option.
